Why trust a site that hasn’t flown every bag?

Because we don’t pretend otherwise. Every rival roundup says “we tested twenty backpacks” — most can’t prove they did. Here is what we do instead, and it’s checkable.

We do the carry-on fit math

We compile each pack's published dimensions and check them against the airlines' own limits — the exact number a roundup usually buries in prose or skips.

Prices are live and dated

Numbers come from a daily retailer check and carry the date they were pulled. If the check stops, the price disappears rather than going stale.

“Not published” is a finding

When a budget brand won't state a bag's weight or dimensions, we print “Not published” rather than guessing. What a maker leaves out is information too.

We say when to skip

Bigger and pricier isn't automatically better. Where a cheaper bag wins for the buyer, that's our pick — the commission doesn't decide it.
